2011 was an eventful year for me…
I started teaching, Postcards from Home was published on Burn Magazine, exhibited in Sydney as part of the Head On Photo Festival and at the Delhi Photo Festival. I had images from the series in several group shows including Birthmark on the Map in Russia, the Olive Cotton Portrait Prize and the Head On Portrait Prize . I gave artist talks at the Delhi Photo Festival and at Head On. I met lots of people, mostly fellow photographers and i made many new friends…
Somewhere in the middle of all that i received the inaugural Australian Photobook of the Year Award, which took me totally by surprise! A few months later i arrived at a final version of my book Postcards from Home (view below). A few copies are available to purchase. Please see the form at the end of this post if you’re interested.

WINNER – 2011 Australian Photobook of the Year
Below is the Momento Pro Photobook of the Year version. Although a demo (dummy) i was pretty happy with it, nevertheless it still needed some tweaking. Only after receiving the award and a printed version of the book was i able to arrive at certain conclusions and come up with my final version.
